Looking for a pair of Callaway golf pants but aren’t sure where to start? Start here.
I have seven options for you to check out — four pairs for men, and three for women.
Here, you’ll find a few different styles from casual five-pocket pants for all-day use to performance trousers made to stretch and twist with your every move.
Plus, because golfers should be comfortable no matter the weather, you’ll find a few made to withstand rain, too.
Let’s see what Callaway has in store.
Table of Contents: Callaway Golf Pants
Callaway makes a few more styles for men than they do for women, so we’re going to start there.
Here are four of my favorites.
Classic Style, Modern Performance
If you’re looking for a pair of pants that can fit in at the office and perform well on the course then you’ve found it Callaway’s Classic Pant.
This pair pretty much looks like your standard dress pants or golf pants. But it’s their technical fabric that makes them a real dream to play golf in on a warm day.
For example, the Opti Dri technology in these lightweight pants draws sweat away from your body to the outside of the pants where it can dry and Opti Shield protects you from harmful UV rays.
Finally, with Callaway’s Active Waistband, your shirt will stay tucked in whether you’re sitting at your chair filling out an expense report or driving off the tee.
Pros: Highly reviewed, stretch material moves with you, very comfortable, comes in big and tall sizing, highly durable, machine washable
Materials: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Best Around Town Pair
I tend to dress pretty casually most of the time, which is why I love the EverPlay five-pocket Callaway golf pants.
Incorporating styling you’re more likely to find on denim Levi’s than traditional golf pants, these puppies look great both on the course and running around town.
And because they feature a cotton blend, they’re more breathable than most polyester-centric pairs you’ll find, at least in Callaway’s product lines.
All in all, for modern, stretchy, and comfortable pants with a lot of technical features, the EverPlay is the way to go.
Pros: Opti Dri pulls moisture away from you, textured design adds style machine washable, fit well, excellent for warm weather
Cons: Colors on Amazon vs real life can take some golfers by surprise
Materials: 66% Polyester, 26% Cotton, and 8% Elastane
Stretchy Yet Sustainable
Pro Spin 3.0
Both of the pants I’ve mentioned so far use Spandex, which is also called Elastane, to make them stretchy. Not the Pro Spin 3.0.
Made with DuPont’s Sorona Comfort Stretch fabric, which showcases a material called Elastrelle-P, these pants are much easier on the environment because they use fewer chemicals to make and they’re easier to recycle than Spandex blends.
And because Elastrelle makes up 20% of the fabric in the Pro Spin, you can expect serious stretch from these pants — crouching down to read the green shouldn’t ever be a problem.
So while the styling isn’t too far off from the Classic pair up above, the materials contained within these trousers make them easier on the planet. Plus, they go on sale a lot too.
Pros: Come in 6 colors, very comfortable, machine washable, features Opti Dri, Opti Shield, and Active Waistband technologies, lightweight,
Cons: Sizing can be off, could wrinkle
Materials: 80% Polyester, 20% Elasterell P
Rainy Day Beaters
If you live and golf somewhere it rains a lot, you’ve likely thought about getting a pair of quality waterproof pants for golf.
Depending on how much water resistance you need, you’ll find all kinds of different britches scattered across the industry with varying levels of water resistance. But if you want a true waterproof set, Callaway makes an intriguing option.
With sealed seams, zippered pockets, and adjustable zip legs to keep your pant legs dry, rainfall won’t dampen your mood a bit.
So instead of looking at the forecast as a reason to stay inside, look at it as an excuse to go out and test your waterproof pants on the course.
Pros: Elastic waistband responds to your motion, helps extend golfing seasons, helps keep you warm when it’s cooler out, staying dry helps you stay focused
Materials: 100% Polyester
Now that we’ve had a chance to look at some of the most popular and well-reviewed men’s Callaway golf pants, I’d like to turn our attention to the ladies’ options.
Like the men’s styles, you’ll see tech fabrics employed to make seemingly ordinary pants perform exceptionally on the course.
Lightweight Stretch Jogger
Joggers are comfortable. I may not know what these ones feel like, but if they’re anything like the couple pairs I own, you’ll feel at ease in this relaxed pair.
Part of the reason for that level of comfort stems from the pants’ stretch fabric. When golfers have the ability to move freely, they stress less about their shots and focus on the game.
And with lightweight twill fabric, these pants are made to stand up to all the jostling, long grass, and twigs that you may encounter.
In all, if I were to buy my mother or another woman some golf pants, these would be the ones.
Pros: Fit well, TrueScuplt flattens your silhouette, Opti-Dri keeps you from steaming in your own sweat, 4 pockets to carry your stuff
Cons: Run a little bit
Materials: 50% Polyester, 40% Recycled Polyester, 10% Elastane
A Good-Lookin’ Pull-On Pair
TrueSculpt Tech Pant
Much like the pair of britches immediately below, these Truesculpt Tech pants are pull-ons.
But, that doesn’t mean they lack style. With textured fabric, these women’s golf pants don’t appear as if they’re casual pull-on style golf pants— but they are.
And with the TrueSculpt panel, your silhouette stays smooth and flat so you can feel comfortable on the course, range, or just running around town.
Check them out today for a great pair of stylish pants that check a lot of boxes.
Pros: Fit well, great pockets, comfortable, fit true to size, feature Opti Dri, made with sustainable EcoVero viscose fibers
Cons: Some might find them a bit heavy for summer
Materials: 75% Ecovery Tm Viscose, 22% Nylon, 3% Elastane
Dressed-Up Golf Leggings
Flat Front with Stretch
Leggings rule the world, or at least a large portion of it.
And now that Callaway makes a dressy version, nobody will ever know that your fancy-looking pants are as comfortable as the pair of leggings you use at the gym.
I mean, I guess it makes sense, golf helps players exercise and get steps in, so why not make those steps as comfortable as possible?
If comfort and a more formal style are what you’re looking for, Callaway’s performance flat-front tech pant with stretch is right up your alley.
Pros: Fits well, nice pockets, pull double duty as great office pants, UPF 50 sun protection, Opti Dri keeps your sweat from sticking around
Cons: Fabric could be a bit thicker, despite excellent stretchiness you may need a belt
Materials: 73% Viscose, 24% Nylon, 3% Elastane
Choosing a pair of pants in 2023 isn’t as simple as it once was. Before, you’d go into a specialty golf store, try on a few and walk out with a pair of pants.
Now, you’ve got a few more considerations to make.
Let’s dive in.
Nowadays, synthetic materials like Spandex, Elastrelle-P, and Nylon are blended into pants to make them move when you do, which makes them a perfect fit for golf.
Because you’ll be twisting, bending, and crouching it make a lot of sense to consider Callaway golf pants with some level of stretchiness to them.
That’s why every pair you’ll find on this list, and pretty much every pair Callaway makes, has some level of stretchiness to them. It makes pants more comfortable, and when you’re comfortable you shoot lower scores.
What we’re really talking about here is Opti Dri. Opti Dry enables sweat to move from the body to the outside of the fabric where it can dry.
This is a pretty important aspect of pants shopping because we all know that most golf happens during the warmer months. Thankfully, every pair here has the technology.
Make sure to consider pants with a comfortable waistband and a relaxed fit. Of course, you don’t want anything too baggy, unless that’s your style.
Many of the options here come with an Active Waistband that stretches and moves, yet helps to keep your shirt tucked. Because you’ll be doing a fair amount of walking, swinging, and moving comfort is critical.
Depending on what type of style you like, whether it’s a classic four-pocket look or a more relaxed five-pocket style, be sure to find a quality pair of pants that hold your accessories.
Stuff like golf balls, tees, and pencils all need a place to rest alongside your phone and wallet. The more you carry, the more pockets you might want.
The most common aspect of apparel shopping is the price — make no bones about it. Consider you budget, but also consider the fact that higher quality items last longer, which could save you dough in the long run.
In conclusion, Callaway golf pants are a great investment for any golfer looking to up their style and performance both on and off the course.
With innovative tech creatures such as moisture-wicking, and stretchable materials, Callaway’s options provide the ultimate comfort and flexibility for a successful round.
Plus, rain-resistant and waterproof options ensure that golfers stay dry even when it gets wet. So no matter how many pockets you choose, or if you decide to go with a classic look over something trendier like a jogger, I hope you find a comfortable and convenient option.
Thanks for stopping in!
